Tips when applying polyurethane foam
Ventilate, clean and protect
Before you begin, make sure the area is well ventilated and the surface area is clean. Cover any nearby furniture to prevent damage.
Use protective equipment
Wear gloves, goggles and suitable clothing to protect yourself.
Moisten the surface
Apply moisture to the working area to accelerate the expansion of the foam.
Apply in moderation
Do not fill the entire space as the foam will expand once it has been applied.
Remove excess product
If you apply too much foam, remove it using acetone or a polyurethane cleaner.
Trim once dry
Use a spatula to remove excess foam and achieve a clean finish.
