What testing devices do you recommend for on-site testing?

If you want to test anchors on-site, you will need to use special testing devices. Basically, there are three providers on the market that offer different solutions:

M2008: for heavy duty loads

• Lightweight (8.5kg).

• Aluminium off set triangular load spreading bridge with steel ball pins.

• Low handle effort to achieve load.

The Hydrajaws Bluetooth Digital system allows on-site pull tests to be automatically recorded and compiled into a digital report using the Hydrajaws Bluetooth Digital App on a mobile phone or tablet device. These reports can be sent directly to clients or managers and are stored in the cloud to be accessed remotely anywhere on a browser in a user own company dashboard.

Other models are also available for scaffolding, safety lines, braces, etc.

DTEpico-VCH 2500: for medium loads

• Up to 25 kN.
• Simple and quick setting up.
• Reading on a digital indicator, pressure sensor with peak value. The indicator operated with one 3 volt battery (type CR2430), stopping automatically after 15 min.
• Packed in a transport case (with a set of optional accesories).

DTEpico-VCH 5000: for high loads

• Up to 50 kN.
• Simple and quick setting up.
• Reading on a digital indicator, pressure sensor with peak value. The indicator operated with one 3 volt battery (type CR2430), stopping automatically after 15 min.

P-C-7281: for medium loads

• Up to 25 kN.
• The tensile load is applied to the fixing mechanically; hydraulics are used to register the load only. This enhances the systems reliability as it is not prone to hydraulic leaks. Also, mechanical loading provides smoother operation, eliminating hydraulic backlash.

P-C-7290M: for high loads

• Up to 100 kN.
• Maximum diameter: M20.
• The load application is achieved via a ratchet handle driving a 4:1 hydraulic multiplier; the applied load is recorded directly on a gauge mounted on the tester body. This compact design is lighter and more convenient to use than that of separate hydraulic pump and ram arrangements.
• An integral movement indication is provided allowing First Movement to be identified as well as total displacement before failure.
