UKCA marking (UK Conformity Assessed) is the new UK product marking required for construction products marketed in Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland). It came into force on 1st January 2021. It covers most products that previously required CE marking.
The UKCA marking will not be recognised in the EU market. Products requiring CE marking will still need CE marking to be placed on the EU market.
The requirements for the UKCA marking are, at present, similar to those for the CE marking; however, they may differ in the future.
The UKCA marking is recognised by the following symbol,
while the other identification data on the packaging (declaration of performance, applicable technical standard, etc.) similar to the CE marking must be maintained
The CE marking will continue to be recognised for products placed on the market in the EU 27 countries plus Northern Ireland.
