Tipos de rebites de acordo com a sua forma
Ao selecionar o tipo de rebite que queremos comprar, devemos ter em conta a forma e o tipo de material que precisamos de fixar. Na Index poderá encontrar:
  • Rebites de cabeça boleada: São perfeitos para evitar infiltrações de líquidos e vapores.
  • Rebites com cabeça larga: Foram concebidos para unir diferentes materiais que requerem uma maior área de fixação.
  • Rebites inoxidáveis: São ideais para aplicações em que seja necessária uma proteção contra a corrosão/intempérie.
  • Rebite flor: Proporciona uma ampla superfície posterior de apoio graças ao modo de expansão do rebite em forma de pétalas de flor. Indicado para aplicações em materiais plásticos ou de baixa resistência à pressão.

Quais são as partes de um rebite?
Podemos encontrar num rebite as seguintes partes
  • Cabeça: É a parte superior do rebite com diâmetro maior do que o corpo. Faz com que os objetos que queremos unir fiquem encaixados na perfeição.
  • Corpo ou haste: É o tubo circular base que é inserido nas peças que queremos unir.
  • Mandril: É a zona mais longa e serrilhada do rebite, introduz-se na máquina de rebitar e, uma vez inserida, fica excluída da união.

Como instalar um rebite
A primeira coisa a ter em conta ao colocar um rebite é que precisaremos de uma máquina de rebitar. Os rebites podem ser introduzidos a frio se o diâmetro for igual ou inferior a 8 mm e a quente se o diâmetro for superior a 1 mm.
Para a sua introdução, será necessário fazer um furo em cada um dos objetos que queremos unir para introduzir o corpo cilíndrico deste sistema de fixação. Uma vez colocada a peça no interior, devemos assegurar-nos de que a cabeça sobressaia ligeiramente para obter uma fixação adequada.
